I have two projects that I'm working on for my summer full of blogging, and I'm so excited about them. My grandma has told me that it is always good to have something to look forward to. That is SO true. It makes life as a Junior in college just a little bit easier if I know that something grand is waiting for me when I'm done.
Here they are:
- I want to make at least one hand made project every week. For those of you who do not know what stumbleupon.com is, stop reading right now and go check it out. For those of you who DO know what it is, I'm sure you understand how addicting it can be. I have stumbled upon so many inspirational blogs and ideas of things to make, reuse, and "upcycle." I also hope to start up an Etsy store and sell some of my handmade goods online. I'll keep you posted.
- I am working on my "Reading Life Story." This is an idea that I received from my teaching inspiration Esme Raji Codell. She came to Doane and spoke about her Reading Life Story which was a list of books that she read as a kid and how they had an impact on her life. I absolutely LOVE this concept and I can't wait to compile a list of books that have changed my life.
In other news, I met my cooperating teacher for student teaching last week. She's amazing and I can't wait until next semester and all of the challenges it will bring. After meeting her, however, I feel as though student teaching is staring me in the face. And that is a liiiiittle scary. Here's a picture of my classroom:
Until next time...and who knows when that will be!
grace and peace,
Mair
